Amazon Sumerian provides tools and resources that enable anyone to easily create and run Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR) and 3D configurators. With Sumerian, you can create multi-platform experiences that run on hardware such as Oculus, HTC Vive, and iOS devices with WebVR-compliant browsers and ARCore support on Android devices.

This exciting new service, currently in beta, offers features that allow you to create very immersive and interactive 3D experiences in your browser. Some of these features are:

  • Object library: a library of prebuilt objects and templates.
  • Asset Import: Upload 3D assets for use in your scene. Sumerian supports importing FBX, OBJ, and soon Unity projects.
  • Scripting library: provides a JavaScript library via the 3D engine for advanced scripting functions.
  • Hosts: animated, lifelike 3D characters that can be adapted to gender, voice and language.
