The new Markilux 3D Augmented Reality (AR) app already runs on Apple`s ARKit on iOS 11 and allows them to customize their own brand journey in more than a million ways and even simulate the shadow output on a specific date.
The german company has been producing awnings and other textile projects for more than 40 years. With more than 1 million customizable options, every customer will find the right solution.
In order to present this project to the customers in an appealing way and in real time in their homes, Markilux and ViewAR will present the new 3D configurator, which supports AR, to the general public on 18 September.
But it`s not just about visualization – with the new app, customers can even create individual models in any size by choosing from hundreds of fabrics and choosing the right angle to provide enough shade.
Shadow simulation – this unique feature in the app allows you to simulate the amount of shadows your virtual awning consumes on a specific day or time, just elect if from the menu and you`ll see how much sun you`ll have in your veranda on July 4th next year.
Other features include:
- Animations: opening and closing the awning.
- Infinitely change the depth and width of your awning (parametric models and animations supported)
- Material configurator with more than 250 fabrics (parametric application of these fabrics)
- Add extras like “Shadow+”, the extension of your awning.
