With the AR Visualizer App you can create a three-dimensional photorealistic image of your perfect Porsche right in front of your eyes.

It means you can imagine what it looks like in front of your house or even in your living room. All the app needs is a flat surface to create the 3D image.

Dream cars.

The new app contains all the features of the regular Porsche configurator, which is offered via the company’s website.

That means endless discussions about which paint choice is the best choice, or trying to figure out exactly what light alloy wheel set your dream car needs.

Customers can continue to use the usual website-based configurator, but then send their finished car to the app for the full AR effect.

X-Ray Specifications.

As an added bonus, the AR app also includes a new “highlight” feature. This results in an X-Ray-like sectional view of the selected vehicle, showing the user exactly where important technical details are hidden. This allows future 911 owners to prove that the latest sports car from Zuffenhausen is still equipped with a rear engine.

The AR app can currently be used with the latest 911 Carrera S and 4S as well as the Mission-E concept car. The latter will be replaced by the finished production version of the all-electric Taycan as soon as it is unveiled.

There is an app for this.

Porsche also promises that the entire model range will be available for use with the app by the end of 2019, so Macan and Cayenne customers will have to wait a little longer.

The AR app, which is now available for download for both Apple iOS and Android devices, is the latest in a series of smartphone offerings from Porsche. Last year, the company launched the Porsche Charging Services app to help drivers of plug-in hybrid or fully electric vehicles find charging points.

At the beginning of the year, Porsche will also present a smartphone app for car rental, which enables access to a subscription service in partnership with the technology company Cluno.
